MOI Pro AMD IPTV Streaming Server Supports Up to 16 Tuners

TBS Technologies is a company specializing in digital TV tuners, with their catalog includes various DVB-T2, DVB-C, DVB-S2 and ATSC tuner cards. They also happen to be the designer of Matrix board and Matrix 2 Android set-top box, both of which run Android or Linux and support some of the company’s tuners. But they also have higher end products such as MOI Pro AMD IPTV streamer based on an AMD Embedded G-Series processor, and supporting up to 4 tuner cards with up to 4 tuners each.

You can read the Getting Started Guide to find how the front panel and keys are used, and checkout the web base configuration interface.

When asked whether the system was mainly purchased by companies or individuals, a company representative explained that both IPTV delivery companies and individuals who wanted to build a home IPTV media server purchased the device, with so far over 25,000 units sold.

@Fossxplorer

You can use hardware CA but with simple CI not CI+ (almost any model Connax , Irdeto,Nagra 1 or 2 , Cryptoworks and Viaccess) or you have all the time the softcam variant of descrambling via Oscam.

What OS does it come with?
I need TBS to stream local tv (DVB-T europe) to my IOS device when I travel abroad.
So, h.264 encoding is necessary in order to preserve bandwidth (actual upload speed around 2megabits/sec)

Thanks guys

It is an overkill, but I need h264 transcoding. Does MOI+ or U4 support that? I might need to configure streams as low as 50kbps in some of the countries I will be travelling.

So far I have found only hauppauge broadway does h264 transcoding. HDhomerun extend is not available yet, same applies for netstream.

So it appears that as for now, hauppauge has the only solution for someone who wants h.264 transcoding (not just decoding). I will get one and test it (although it’s a quite old solution)

Thank you for your answers
