Ronetix announced 5 CPU modules based on Atmel AT91SAM9 series:
- SAM9G35-CM – populated with AT91SAM9G35
- SAM9G25-CM – populated with AT91SAM9G25
- SAM9G15-CM – populated with AT91SAM9G15
- SAM9X35-CM – populated with AT91SAM9X35
- SAM9X25-CM – populated with AT91SAM9X25
Those 5 mew modules correspond to the 5 New Atmel processors and Devkit announced in August 2011.
All modules offer 400MHz performance, 128MB to 256MB DDR2 SDRAM, 256MB NAND flash and 4MB to 8MB SPI flash.
Here’s a comparison table of the different features available on the 5 modules / processors.

The modules support the operating supported by SAM9 processors namely Android, Linux, and Windows CE. For further information about SAM9 software development check out “Resources for Atmel AT91SAM9: SAM926X, SAM9GXX, SAM9M1X, SAM9XE…” to know how to get the SDK for Android, Linux and Wince.
The company also released the schematics for the SAM9 CPU modules.
It seems Ronetix Modules can be plugged into Atmel SAM9 evaluation kits such as Atmel SAM9G15-EK.
Ronetix also provides PEEDI, a JTAG Emulator and Flash Programmer capable to program in standalone mode NOR Flash devices, NAND Flash devices with JFFS2 image or bootloader, DataFlash devices. It’s not only for SAM9 processors, but can be used for a wide range of processors from MCU (Cortex M0) to the lasted ARM CPU (Cortex A9), Power PC, mips and more.
The Ronetix SAM9-CM modules are available now, but pricing is not disclosed. More information can be found on Ronetix SAM9-CM product page.
